Former Resident Dies In Des Moines Monday

Mrs. Ida Cooley Furrow, former resident of Winterset, died at a hospital in Des Moines Friday following an extended period of ill health. She was 82 years of age.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday morning from the Hamilton funeral home in Des Moines with the Rev. Mrs. Lathrum conducting. Interment was made in the Oak Grove cemetery at Des Moines.

Mrs. Ida Cooley Furrow was born November 11, 1860, daughter of Frank and Julia Martin. She was united in marriage to Lafe Cooley, who preceded her in death in 1922, and she was later married to W. F. Furrow, who died several years ago.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Lillian Pike of Des Moines and two sons; Velix (sic) Cooley of Minnesota, and Fred Cooley of Des Moines; and two sisters, Mrs. Julia Wilkinson and Mrs. Mary Benson, both of Winterset.
