Balfour Wheeler Dart was born at Earlham, Madison County, Iowa on June 27 1868 and passed away October 24, 1942 at the age of 74 years 8 months and 27 days.
In the year of 1882 he moved with his parents to Louisiana where he lived for five years before their return to Pierson, Iowa. On March 10, 1901 he was married to Addie Louise Pake of Binghamton, New York and to this union three children were born; Oman Clayton, Anna Marie and Merle Leonard.
On March 10 1910 he moved with his family to Bhutan, Nebr., and purchased a farm on which he had resided until his death.
He leaves to mourn his passing besides his wife, two sons, Ornan and Merle of Enders; one daughter, Mrs. Russell Burke of Wauneta and six grandchildren and other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, October, 27 at the Methodist Church in Wauneta with Rev. J. J. Christner in charge. Several beautiful hymns were sung by the church choir. Pallbearers were Henry Ohmie, Claude Sharp, George Ballard, Ralph Grosbach, P. H. Williams and J. E. Burke. Interment was in the Wauneta cemetery.
