Word has been received here by relatives of the death, April 5, of Halden Greer of Regina Saskatchewan, Canada, former resident of Madison county. He was 74 years of age.
Greer was born in Ontario, Canada, July 25, 1878 and when 15 years of age came to Iowa and made his home with his uncle, W. W. Greer, who then lived near Winterset until he was 23 years old. He then returned to Canada where he married.
He has visited relatives in Madison county on several occasions, and spent the winter of 1936-37 with his uncle.
He is survived by his wife, two sisters, Mrs. Anna Hartsook of near Winterset and Mrs. Everett Stuart of Indianola and several brothers living in Canada.
