Former Resident Dies In Des Moines

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at two o’clock at the Hamilton funeral home in Des Moines for Mrs. Dora Schoen Harpel, a former resident of Madison county, who dies Sunday morning at her home in Des Moines. Burial was made in the Masonic cemetery.

Mrs. Harpel, who was past 60 years of age, was the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. P. Schoen. The Schoen family made their home for many years in Jefferson township, Madison county, living in that vicinity from 1866 until about 15 years ago.

She is survived by her husband; three brothers, Paul of Miami, Florida; Hugh who lives in Oregon and Jesse of Des Moines; and a sister, Mrs. E. J. Alexander of Winterset.
