Maxine Marie Wambold, former Winterset high school student, died at the Brown hospital in Clarinda, Sunday, Oct. 30. Maxine who was 16 years of age, attended the Winterset high school past two years.
Miss Wambold went to Clarinda, three months ago to live with her mother and had attended the Clarinda high school this fall. She became ill and was operated upon for appendicitis, complications arising caused her death.
Maxine was the daughter of Albert Wambold of Winterset and Eugenia Wambold Smith of Clarinda. She was born March 27, 1922 at Greenfield and had lived in Winterset the past 10 years.
She is survived by her parents, six brothers and three sisters. Funeral services were held in Clarinda and burial was made in the Oak Grove cemetery.
