FORMER RESIDENT DIES IN ILLINOIS

Mrs. William A. Forbes, 67, died Wednesday, October 26, in Dry Grove, Illinois, following several months of failing health.

Phoebe A. Birchelbaw was born January 17, 1871 in Dry Grove township, the daughter of Christian and Elizabeth Miller Brichelbaw. She was married to William Forbes March 10, 1891 at Danvers, Illinois. The couple made their home in Madison county for a number of years and for the past 23 years they lived in Dry Grove township.

She is survived by her husband; one daughter, Mrs. E. E. Nelson, Dexter; two sons, Clarence and Russell both at home; one sister, Mrs. Mary Webb and one brother, Jacob Birchelbaw, both of Bloomington. A daughter died in infancy.
