Services for Mrs. Rose M. Starr, 70, who died Friday at Van Meter, were held Sunday afternoon at the Walter Clayton home in Van Meter conducted by the Rev. Charles Fix. Burial was in the Van Meter cemetery.
Mrs. Starr was the daughter of Benton J. and Martha Ann Ladd and was born near Logansport, Indiana, December 1, 1867. She was married to Frank E. Starr January 23, 1890. Mr. Starr died about seven years ago and since that time she had made her home with her sister, Mrs. Mary Monk.
Mr. and Mrs. Starr moved to North Dakota in 1906, living there until 1930. She leaves her sister, Mrs. Monk; two brothers, Harvey Ladd of Denison and John Ladd of Linden.
