John Cutler, age 67, died at his home in Des Moines Sunday morning after a lingering illness of typhoid fever. Mr. Cutler was born and lived to young manhood in Crawford township before taking up his residence in Des Moines.

He is a brother of Ella and George Cutler and Mrs. Joe Morris of this vicinity.

DEATH TAKES JOHN CUTLER

Resident Here 48 Years; Services Wednesday

John Cutler, 65, Des Moines resident 48 years, died at his home, 2549 Raccoon st., at 2:30 a.m. Sunday of typhoid fever complications following an illness of about eight weeks.

Services will be held at St. Peter’s church at 9 a.m. Wednesday with burial at St. Patrick’s cemetery near Cumming, Ia.

Mr. Cutler was a native of Madison county, Iowa and came to Des Moines when about 17. He was a machinist for the Iowa Power and Light Co.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two daughters, Mrs. Anna Thompson, and Mrs. Alice Kinney, both of Des Moines; two brothers, George, of Prole, Ia., and James of Grinnell, Ia.; three sisters, Mrs. J. M. Morris and Ellen Cutler, both of Prole, and Jewel Cutler, Des Moines.
