County Briefs – St. Charles

The funeral of Mrs. Hattie L. Jennings who died in the Lutheran hospital in Des Moines, was held Tuesday afternoon at the Hamilton funeral home in Des Moines and burial was at Wilton Junction.

Mrs. Jennings was the widow of the late Joseph Jennings who for several years lived in St. Charles, being in the drug business. He built the Jennings Block here following the fire of December 1911. They were well known in this community where they had many friends.
