Page 4, Columns 3 & 4David Duane Hollander, of Earlham, passed away on Thursday, March 30, at the Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. He was 50 years old, and his cause of death was kidney failure. The family is deeply saddened by his sudden passing.
Dave was born on August 13, 1972, and was raised in Denison, IA. His childhood on a farm instilled a strong passion for agriculture.
Dave attended Iowa State University. He met the love of his life, Kristin (Lillie) in 2000, and they immediately connected over their love for the Cyclones. They were married in 2002, and they have two sons, Henry (17) and Landry (12). They built their dream home outside of Earlham in 2012.
Dave was a member of the Hope Lutheran Church in West Des Moines, and his strong faith was an integral part of his life. He thoroughly enjoyed tending to the yard, and gardening with his wife. Dave spent his remaining free time attending sporting events for his sons and cheering on the Iowa State Cyclones.
There will be no service, and the family asks that any donations be made to their sons' college funds.
