SERVICES FRIDAY FOR LEVI H. GRAY

Levi H. Gray, 83, died March 4 at the home of his son Floyd Gray northwest of Winterset where he had lived since 1916. He had been in ill health several years. Services were held Friday afternoon at two o'clock at the Tidrick funeral home conducted by the Rec. H.L. Olmstead, pastor of the Church of Christ; burial was made in the Winterset Cemetery.

Mr. Gray was a native of Illinois, born in Mercer county July 16, 1852, the son of Alfred and Elizabeth Gray. He was married to Samantha Osborn March 29, 1870. Mrs. Gray died September 8, 1892.

He is survived by seven of his eight children, Harvey Gray of Chicago; Albert Gray of Chicago; Fred Gray of Kansas City , Missouri, Cash, Floyd, and Walter Gray of Winterset; Mrs. Thursa Johnson of Atlantic. A daughter Verdell, died in infancy. Other who survive are fourteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; a brother Clifford of Lawrence, Kansas; and a sister, Mrs. Anna Ferral of California.
