Services will be held tomorrow in San Mateo for Ralph K. Stiles of Atherton, retired Illinois business executive and a past president of the California Golf Club. Mr. Stiles, 83, died Sunday of cancer.
Following a career in the manufacturing of heavy road building equipment in Illinois, Mr. Stiles moved to the Bay Area about 20 years ago. He had served as president of Austin-Western Co., and later as a board member of Baldwin Lima Hamilton.
Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth; a daughter, Mary Louise Babcock of San Mateo; two sons, Steve Jeans of San Carlos and Gerald Jeans of San Francisco. The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow at the Episcopal Church of St. Matthew in San Mateo.
______________________Transcriber's note: Middle name taken from WWII Draft Registration. The deceased was born in Patterson, Iowa and was there until after the 1900 census.
