Bailey Hodges Rites Planned

Services for Bailey R. Hodges, 70, of 4021 Ingersoll ave., who died of a heart attack Sunday at Veterans Hospital, are being arranged at the Hamilton Funeral Home. Mr. Hodges, who had been ill a week, was a sheet metal worker and furnace installer before his retirement in 1956.

He was born at St Charles and came here from Winterset 40 years ago. He served in the navy from 1911 to 1919.

Surviving are his widow. Myrtle; three daughters, Mrs Betty White of Azusa, Cal Mrs. Bernice Young of Des Moines and Mrs. Beulah Harper of Polk City, three sons, Robert E., with the army in Korea, Richard L. of Des Moines and Ralph H. of Monrovia, Cal.; two brothers John of Des Moines and Frank of Grand Rapids Mich.; a sister, Mrs. Susie Oller of Creston, and 17 grandchildren.
