Tuesday, November 1, 2022Marilyn Knight passed away on August 30th, 2022, surrounded by her daughters. Marilyn was born on November 29th, 1936 in Winterset, Iowa to Grace and Cloyd Lamb.
On September 5, 1959 she married her high school sweetheart, Kenneth “LeRoy” Knight, and they shared 58 loving years together before LeRoy passed in 2017.
Marilyn is survived by her 3 daughters Vickilee Knight Einhellig (Dan Wilkins), Lynne Knight, and Nikole Knight Erickson (Steve Erickson); and 6 grandchildren Audrey and Naomi Einhellig, Jake and Avery (Knight) Clarkson, and Evan and Isaac Erickson. She is further survived by her brother-in-law Van Garmon III, nephews David (Nancy) and Dennis (Michelle), and best friend Linda Greco.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents Grace and Cloyd Lamb, husband LeRoy Knight, and brother Richard Lamb.
Marilyn is our hero. She led by example, facing life’s ups and downs with love, strength, determination, and wisdom. Marilyn touched many lives over the years and made a lasting impression on those who knew her; she will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers, please share a story or memory of Marilyn.
A celebration of life for all who knew and loved Marilyn will be held at Grace Community Church (240 Barberry Place, Loveland CO 80537) on Sunday November 6th from 2:30pm to 4:30pm MST.
