Robert J Lynch (Bob) died on June 24, 2022 at Arbor Springs Nursing Home in West Des Moines, Iowa after a long ailment. Bob was born in Des Moines and lived his entire life on the family farm in Madison County near St Patrick’s Irish Settlement church.

Bob graduated from Martensdale St. Marys High School and from Iowa State University in Agriculture Business. He was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Army through the ROTC program. Upon completion of his military service, he returned to the family farm which he farmed his entire life.

He is survived by a two sisters, Mary Lou Lynch of Norwalk and Helen Lynch of Des Moines. He is also survived by his brother, Thomas Lynch of West Des Moines, Iowa. Bob’s parents, Maurice and Alice (Miller) Lynch predeceased Bob. Also, a sister, Janet A. Schissel and a brother, Maurice F. Lynch (Bud) have predeceased him.

A graveside service will be held for Bob on July 23, 2022, at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Irish Settlement Church Cemetery in Madison County, Iowa.
