Alfred Newton Hull, for many years a resident of Madison county died at Santa Ana, Calif., Nov. 11.

For many years he resided near Truro, but moved to Winterset to serve as assistant to the Madison county auditor, Herman A. Mueller. He was later elected to that office.

Mr. Hull’s death at the age of 95, was hastened by a fall that resulted in a broken hip bone. He was regarded as one of the most able officials of this county to fill that office.

He died at the home of a daughter, Helen (Hull) Wilde.
