Jane was born on September 12, 1934 to William and Fawn (Haines) Hulin in Winterset, Iowa; the youngest of seven children. She grew up in Winterset and attended Winterset schools. She met the love of her life Garry Drake on a blind date and the couple was married on January 14, 1951 in Omaha. Following Garry’s discharge the couple made their home on the family farm in Dexter and later on a farm in Menlo before settling north of Dexter. The couple was blessed with five children: Norman, Patty, Lee, Lisa and Mary.

Jane worked a variety of jobs over the year, mainly becoming a Nurses Aid at nursing homes in Adel, Stuart and Earlham. She was a longtime member of Cornerstone Church in Greenfield. In her spare time she enjoyed square-dancing and golfing; but most of all she treasured time she was able to spend with her family and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; children Patty and Lee; all her siblings; grandson, Steven and a great-great-grandson.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Garry of Dexter; children: Norman Drake of Dexter, Lisa Drake of Dexter and Mary Drake of Winterset; grandchildren: Jannette (Troy), Sarah, Charlie (Jennifer), Marisa (Rob), Destiny, Jeremy, Joseph and Jessica; great-grandchildren: Gavin (Bridget), Ryan, Faith, Jaxyn, Darren, Matthew, Heather, Bodhi, Trey, Gabe, Emma, Micah, Tayan, Sadie and Oakley; great-great-grandchildren: Mercie, Reid, AJ, Ezra, Olivia and Luka; honorary daughter, Debbie Wyatt and a host of extended family and friends that will miss her dearly.
