June 2, 1904Lucy Kivett Barker was born in Randolph County, North Carolina, March 30th, 1831, died at the family residence in Macksburg, May 25, 1904, being at the time of her death 73 years of age.
She was united in marriage to O. W. Barker, who survives her, October 3rd, 1849, and to this union were born nine children, 4 sons and 5 daughters.
The funeral was held at the Baptist church at Macksburg May 26 and the remains interred in the cemetery south of Macksburg.
