Truro News

Memorial services were held June 7 at the Kale Funeral Home in Truro, for Dennis Johnson, 44, of Bentonville, Ark. He was the son of the late Robert Johnson and of Geraldine Youmans Johnson, also of Bentonville. He was a nephew of Doyle Johnson and Thelma Armstrong, both of Truro, and of Edith Mease of St. Charles. Burial was held at the Peru Cemetery.

Dennis Keith Johnson, 44 of Bentonville, Ark., died May 10, 1997. A memorial service was held May 15 at the Burn’s Funeral Chapel in Bentonville, Ark. A second memorial service was held June 7 at the Kale Funeral Home in Truro. Burial of the cremains will be at a later date.

He was born Feb. 12, 1953 in Des Moines to Robert and Geraldine Johnson. He graduated from Nettleton College in Sioux Falls, S.D. He was Catholic and was an avid gardener and artist. He had received his pilot’s license and worked for the state of South Dakota before moving to Bentonville where he worked with his brother at Mermaid Car Care.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Surviving relatives include his mother, and one brother, Stephen Johnson of Bentonville, Ark.
