Patricia LeRaye Reynolds Nourse Cockerham departed this life on May 28, 2021 at the age of 70 due to complications of liver disease and kidney failure.

Pattie was born on January 8, 1951 to Raymond and Leona “Bea” (Collins) Reynolds in Earlham, Iowa and raised by her beloved grandmother Rose.

After graduating from Adel-Desoto High School in 1969 she married Larry Nourse of Redfield, Iowa and they were blessed with three children, Christy, Ryan and Danielle. She was a dedicated and loving mother.

Pattie received instruction in the faith and became a member of the Catholic Church in 1993.

Until health issues forced her to retire; Pattie was a longtime employee of Reames and later Marzetti Frozen Foods and enjoyed the many friendships she made there.

Pattie married Steve Cockerham in 2017 and this union blessed her with three more daughters and their families to love. Her time with Steve brought her much joy and happiness.

She was an avid shopper in her spare time. Whether it was a thrift store, department store, the mall or an antique shop she loved shopping. Pattie also enjoyed motorcycle rides with Steve, puppies (especially pugs), Volkswagen bugs, and time spent with family and friends.

She courageously faced her health challenges. Many hospital staff proclaimed her to be their “favorite”. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, big brown eyes, and kind heart.

Left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory are her loving and devoted husband, Steve Cockerham. Her children, Christy (Vince) O’Brien of Stuart, Ryan (Tina) Nourse of Dexter and Danielle Grandstaff of Carlisle, as well as her siblings Raymond (Jan) Tharp and Michelle (Larry) Dodge. Her adored grandchildren, Megan (Tanner) Davidson, Emily and Lauren O’Brien, Kelsey, Korbin and Kamryn Nourse, and Jayden and Dalin Grandstaff. Step daughters and their families; Stephanie (Terry) Sparks and children Samantha, Emilie and Jamisen, Kristy (Jackson) Tennant and children Abby and Drake, and Kellsey Cockerham and fiancé Brock Adams. She will also be forever remembered by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

Pattie was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Leona “Bea” Reynolds and paternal grandparents, Rose and Clyde Reynolds.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral Home, 105 4th Street SW, Altoona from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, June 4, 2021. The funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 5, 2021 also at the funeral home.
