Ruby P. Parker, 72, of 208 S. E. Dunham Ave. died of a heart ailment Saturday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Capitol Hill Christian Church, of which she was a member. Burial will be in Berwick Cemetery.

Mrs. Parker was born in Winterset and lived in Des Moines 44 years. She retired from the accounting department at American Republic Insurance Co. and was a member of a lupus support group.

Surviving are a daughter, Clara Day of Des Moines; two stepsisters, Francis Hartz and Linda Gillan, both of Fontana, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at Hamilton's Funeral Home, where the family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to her church.
