Randal Charles Johnson was born on December 5, 1957 to William and Dorothy Johnson in Winterset. He grew up in the Winterset area and graduated from Winterset High School in 1976.

Randy loved truck pulling. He even had his own truck named “Grizzly” that he would travel and compete in truck pull events. He enjoyed bowling and would be a substitute in bowling leagues when asked. He also loved working on his farm alongside his son Luke. If you asked him, Luke was the boss however. He was a great role model and one of the most caring and genuine people you would meet. His greatest joy in life was his family and getting to spend as much time as possible with them.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, William and Dorothy Johnson; wife, Judy (Hamilton) Johnson; son, Randy Charles “R.C.” Johnson; and sister, Bonnie Moore.

He is survived by his significant other, Tammy Ewing; son, Lucas (Stephanie Marmol) Johnson; daughter-in-law, Kandi Johnson; step-children, Nick (Libby) Hamilton, Nicole Hamilton, Brandon Ewing and Meghan (Nick) Jepson; grandchildren, Anna and Carli Johnson, Kaitlyn and Cameron Johnson; and step-grandchildren, Michael, Jaycob, Shelby, Alexia, Brantley, Elisia, Ambros, Carrson, Boston and Brie.

Memorials may be directed to the family for a later designation.
