Frances Wyatt, daughter of G.C. Paullin and Ruth Lauraetta (Johnson) Paullin was born September 6, 1931 in Winterset, Iowa and passed from this life Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Parkridge Specialty Care in Pleasant Hill, Iowa at 89 years of age.
Frances grew up in Winterset, Iowa. She was united in marriage to John Vernon Wyatt Jr. on March 7, 1952 at Winterset, IA and two children blessed this union.
Frances and John lived in Iowa most of their lives, first in the Des Moines area before moving to New Virginia where the kids grew up and went to school. During this time Frances worked for Snowdons in Osceola until it burned down and then opened her own beauty shop in New Virginia which she ran for several years and also helped John with running the Phillips 66 station there. In the early 70's they moved to Carlisle and Frances worked for the State of Iowa until her retirement. They then moved to Heber Springs, Arkansas and lived on Pine Snag road for many years. They were members of the Pleasant Valley Southern Baptist Church near Pine Snag where they were baptized. They moved back to Iowa in the mid 90's and lived north of Osceola until John's passing and Frances moving to assisted living in Osceola and eventually to the nursing home in Pleasant Hill.
Frances was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed quilting and sewing many of her children's clothes. She enjoyed playing Scrabble and loved having her family around. She loved her dog Puddles.
Those relatives who preceded Frances in death were her husband, John Vernon Wyatt, Jr., parents, G.C. and Ruth Paullin, brothers, Wayne and Gerald Paullin.
Frances leaves to cherish her memory; son, John (Gloria) Wyatt, III of Osceola, IA, daughter, Krystal (Stuart) Boley of Des Moines, IA, grandchildren, Macabo (Angel Hilts) Overton of Des Moines, IA, Brent (Nicola) Overton of Ankeny, IA, Gina Wyatt of Osceola, IA, Lacey (Kevin) Anderson of Des Moines, IA, great-grandchildren, Tayler Lewis, Carlee Anderson, and Clara Anderson, brother, Rex Paullin of Ankeny, IA several nieces and nephews, as well as other relatives and many friends.
Frances' family wishes to express their appreciation to Parkridge Specialty Care nursing staff and employees for their wonderful care over the years.
The family and funeral home asks that anyone in attendance at the visitation or funeral service please follow social distancing guidelines. The use of face coverings at either event are REQUIRED. If you are unable to attend the service in person, a live stream will be available at kalefuneralhome.com on N's tribute wall beginning at 11:00 am, Saturday.
Interment will be in the Fremont Cemetery
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family for a fitting tribute to be decided later.
