Winterset, IowaJacqueline Lou McCuen, 83, of Winterset, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs.
A private family memorial service will be held Thursday, December 10, 2020 at the Hebron Cemetery.
Jackie was born on June 23, 1937 to Harold and Madge Shephard. On August 20, 1970, she was married to Forrest McCuen.
Over the years, Jackie worked many jobs. She was a cook at East High School in Des Moines, sold Avon, and worked in a couple nursing homes, including Bethesda (now Azria Health Center) and Winterset Care Center South. She enjoyed spending her free time with family and friends, camping, going to auctions and collecting antiques.
Jackie is survived by her four children, Mark (Stacey) Jackson, Kevin (Rhonda) Jackson, Bobbi (Martin Clark) Dean, and Jacqueline (Anthony) Johnson; 12 grandchildren, Amanda (Aaron Clayton) Clarkin, Brad (Megan) Jackson, Brandi (Tyson Donham) Jackson, Little Kevin, Ashley Lambert, Jess (Troy) Jones, Justin (Tamara) Bane, Jessica (Danny) Ferber, Zachary Dean, Tykeisha McCuen, Chelsee McCuen, and Laura Fletcher; 19 great grandchildren; and a sister, Judy (Jeff) Kroblin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest McCuen; daughter, Kim Crase-Walton; grandchildren, Heather and Chance Bane; and brother, Sid Shephard.
Memorials may be directed to the family for a later designation.
