Alada Hanrahan, 80, of 3117 E. Fifteenth St., died Wednesday at the home of her sister, Ernestine Jewel, 3929 First St., of a heart ailment. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Cumming, and burial will follow at the church cemetery there.

Born in Missouri, Mrs. Hanrahan lived in Des Moines since 1967. She was a member of Visitation Catholic Church.

Survivors include a son, Thomas of Chicago, Ill.; four sisters, Ernestine Jewel, Wilma Kimler and Alice Lillard, all of Des Moines, and Velma Houlihan of Kenosha, Wis., and three grandchildren.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Hamilton’s Funeral Home.
