Alfred M. Larson, 69, of Earlham died of pneumonia Sunday at Veterans Medical Center in Des Moines. Services were held Wednesday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home in Des Moines, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery there.

Mr. Larson, a retired sewing machine repairman, lived in Des Moines until moving to Earlham Care Center. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Christian Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Debbie Robinson of Council Bluffs; a step-daughter, Linda Beveridge of Omaha; a stepson, Tom Herndon, and a half-sister, Ethel Roseberry, both of Des Moines; 16 grandchildren; and four great-grandson.
