Joyce M. Turpin, 65, died, Sunday, February 17, 2008 at her home. Joyce was born on April 14, 1942 in Winterset, IA. She is survived by her children: son, James Kern, daughter, Brenda Kern, daughter, Rose Brison; her brothers, James L. Stump and Melvin E. Stump; her mother, Mary Wallace; 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Stacey Turpin and her father, James L. Stump Sr.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 22, 2008 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave, Des Moines.

Cremation following service. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service time. Inurnment of cremated remains will be at McDonald-Chase Cemetery at a later date.
