Services for Samuel J. Walker, 74, of 329 Fifth St., West Des Moines, who died of cancer Sunday at Des Moines General Hospital, will be at 10 a.m. today at McLaren’s Resthaven Chapel. Burial will be at the North McDonald Cemetery at Winterset.

A retired fireman and engineer for the Rock Island Lines, Mr. Walker was a lifelong West Des Moines resident. He was a member of Railroad Engineers.

Survivors include his wife, Louise, and a sister, Dorothy Nieman of Omaha, Neb.
