Death of Mrs. Winslow

The family and friends of Mrs. Eva Goodale Winslow were deeply shocked on Tuesday to learn of her sudden death at Winnipeg, Manitoba. She had gone from her home in Minneapolis to Winnipeg to visit a friend on Friday, was taken sick with the influenza on Saturday and died in the hospital there on Monday evening. As her husband was away and had not been reached the first word any of her family received of her sickness was the announcement of her death which came to her parents, Hon. and Mrs. C.C. Goodale on Tuesday morning.

No definite arrangements have yet been made with regard to the place and date of the funeral services.

Miss Eva Goodale was born in Winterset, Iowa, and came to Lamar with her parents in 1887. She was a member of the first class graduating from the Lamar high school and lived here for several years afterwards until her father moved to Denver to take charge of the Surveyor General's office. Miss Goodale went from there to the Pacific coast and held several responsible positions for a number of years.

While residing in Seattle, she met and married Mr. Albert Winslow, a prominent business man, and they have since lived in Winnipeg until moving to Minneapolis last fall. Mrs. Winslow was a brilliant an talented young woman, one who deeply attracted all who met her, and she had a large circle of friends wherever she had lived. It was with deepest regret that the old friends in Lamar hear of her death, and the heartfelt sympathy of all goes out to the family.
