Lisa Marie, daughter of Thomas Garlich and Maureen (Tuthill) Garlich, was born May 1, 1975 in Columbus, Ohio. She graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1993, received her BA from the University of Northern Iowa and received her Master’s from the University of Iowa.

Lisa Marie had a personality that made the room light up when she entered. Her laugh was infectious and her smile radiant. She worked hard at everything she undertook, and was a consummate perfectionist. Her occupation was Grant Writing for areas that needed flood relief and lead paint rehabilitation, and her writings were right on target. She cherished her nieces and nephews and they flocked to her because of her sparkling wit. She was an animal lover and always found a dog to love that needed rescuing. She will be greatly missed by her loving parents and her 4 siblings.

Left to cherish her memory are her parents, Tom Garlich of Cedar Falls and Maureen Garlich of Winterset; siblings, David Garlich of Winterset, Steve Garlich of Cedar Falls, Cathy Garlich Beck of Cedar Falls, and Sue Garlich Knott of Arlington, TX; and 15 nieces and nephews and 4 great nieces and nephews.

Transcriber's note: Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home website states that Lisa Garlich will be buried in Newton Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
