Earlham, IowaMichael Todd Hoffman, 52 of Earlham passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at Mercy West Lakes Hospital in West Des Moines. Celebration of life visitation will be held from 1-3 P.M. on Saturday, August 15th at the Johnson Family Funeral Home in Earlham. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Michael Hoffman Memorial Fund and may be sent in care of Johnson Family Funeral Home, PO Box 119, Earlham, Iowa 50072. Michael was born on September 23, 1967 to Dennis and Darlene (McKavanaugh) Hoffman in Chicago. He grew up in Chicago. Following high school graduation, he attended DeVry University where he majored in Computer Engineering. Michael worked for many different companies before lastly working at Wells Fargo as a Computer Engineer for the last 18 years. On January 8, 2000 he met the love of his life Lorie; Lorie and Michael were later married on August 8, 2008 and made their home on their acreage north of Earlham.
Michael loved classic cars, especially showing his 1969 Camaro at car shows around the Midwest. He enjoyed traveling, camping and gambling. Michael collected matchbox cars and Star-Trek memorabilia. Everyone that knew Michael knew he was very intelligent and had a photogenic memory.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis and Darlene; and his grandmother, Ruth Ustic.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Lorie; sisters, Dawn Hoffman and Tina Hoffman; aunt and uncle Bonnie and Ted Clark; and a host of extended family and friends that will miss him dearly.
