Millie Maxwell Ray passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2020, from a long illness.
Celebration of life will be Tuesday, June 9, 11 a.m. at Amazing Grace Fellowship (3801 S. Kansas Ave., Springfield, Mo.).
Millie was born in 1931 in Nevada, Iowa, to John and Gertrude Maxwell. She married Robert Ray in 1952, and had four sons. Millie was a nurses aide at Winterset community hospital for several years before moving to Branson, where she worked at Skaggs Community Hospital before retiring. Her care for her patients was unsurpassed. She had a great appreciation for gardening and nature.
She was preceded in death by her son, Dan.
She is survived by her sons, Mike (Sonja) of Kimberling City, Mo., Doug and (Barb) of Clever, Mo. Mark (Blainey) of Post Falls, Idaho; nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; one sister; and many nieces and nephews.
