J. A. TRACY DIES IN SOUTH DAKOTA

J. A. Tracy, 70, former Madison county man, died Thursday, July 31, in Franklin, South Dakota. Funeral services were held Friday and burial was in Franklin.

Mr. Tracy had been ill several years. Following a fourth stroke of paralysis after which he was entirely helpless and lost his speech, he was taken to Franklin to make his home with his children. Mr. Tracy moved to Des Moines about five years ago and the past two years has been in Dakota.

He is survived by his wife and three children, Roy, Winnie and Eddie of Franklin, South Dakota; two brothers, Elwood Tracy of Union county, Iowa; O. E. Tracy, Winterset; Mrs. Leota Bishop, Archie, Missouri.

Transcriber's note: Full name taken from Iowa Delayed Certificates of birth for his children. He is buried in Plankinton, Aurora, South Dakota and "Franklin" does not appear to exist.
