Patricia “Pat” Christowski, age 73, Norwalk, died peacefully Monday evening, February 3, 2020 at Regency Care Center.

Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 8th at O’Leary Funeral Services in Norwalk. Burial will follow in the Norwalk Cemetery.

Memorials to the Norwalk Library Foundation will be accepted.

Patricia was born on November 9, 1946 in Joplin, Missouri. The middle child born to Lee and Peggy (George) Taylor, Pat grew up in Winterset, Iowa with her older brother Bob and younger sister Cay where she graduated high school and then attended the Iowa School of Beauty earning her Cosmetology Degree.

Pat married Henry Christowski, Jr. on May 23, 1987 in Indianola. Together they made their home on Center Street in Norwalk and blended their children, Jeannine, Joseph, Christopher, Jeffrey, and Amanda.

Pat worked as an office administrator at the Davis Brown Law Firm in Des Moines for 13 years retiring in 2001. Following her retirement, she enjoyed watching her grandchildren and always made herself available to lend a helping hand. She enjoyed sports overall; college basketball, and the Chicago Cubs. Pat was an avid reader. Most of all Pat loved her family and spending time with them.

Pat is survived by her husband of 32 years, Henry of Norwalk; her children, Jeannine Christowski (April Lambert) Sachse, TX, Joe Christowski (Cathie Toma) of Norwalk, Christopher (Casey) Waltz of Des Moines, Jeff Christowski of Orlando, FL, and Amanda Skeffington of Des Moines; several grandchildren, Heather, Haley, Tyler (Morgan), Isaiah, Faith, Evelyn, Vivian, and Ava; two great-grandchildren, Trey and Aubree; her siblings, Bob Taylor (Sue Wehinger) of Madison, WI and Cay (Ken) Spicocchi of Santa Fe, NM; a niece Krista (Russell) Place and their two children, Leslie and Russell Allen of Norwalk; and a host of other family and friends.
