Services for Ray R. Marvin, 73, of Clive, who died of a cerebral hemorrhage Saturday night at Iowa Methodist Hospital, will be at 2 p. m. Tuesday at McLaren's Funeral Home, West Des Moines.
Mr. Marvin was born in Fort Dodge and lived in Clive and Des Moines the last 14 years. Previous to that he lived in Chicago, Ill., for 37 years. He was a retired railroad express messenger.
Mr. Marvin was a charter member of the American Chapter No. 250 of the Royal Arch Masons of Illinois and a member of Tracy Masonic Lodge No. 280.
Survivors include his wife, Claire, and two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Gemricher, Polk City, and Mrs. Pearl Farlow, Des Moines.
________________________Coordinator's note: His family came to Winterset in 1888 and he appears in Madison County censuses through 1910.
