Lyle B. Green Services Tuesday

Funeral services for Lyle Bevins Green, 82, of Winterset were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, at Collins Funeral Home. Burial was at the Lorimor Cemetery with Rev. Scott Grotewold officiating.

Mr. Green died Sunday, May 13, at Veterans Hospital in Des Moines.

Born on March 14, 1897 at Conrad, he was the son of Wilbur Bliss and Rosetta Bevins Green. An Army veteran of World War I, he was married to Ethel Ruby Parrott on December 20, 1933, at Winterset. He lived at Lorimor before moving to Winterset three years ago, when he retired from farming.

Surviving are his wife Ethel; a daughter, Janet Dudney of Lorimor; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a step great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents and then infant brother.
