Howard Scott Rogers was born November 11, 1959, the son of Leo and Marsha (Ingram) Rogers. He was born and lived in Madison County his entire life and worked alongside his father as a brick and stone mason. When his father retired, Scott took over the business and shared the trade with his son and nephews.

Scott enjoyed nature; hunting, fishing, mushroom and arrowhead hunting and loved domestic and exotic animals. He always liked a good prank and a good laugh. He also loved to spread Christmas cheer, surprising friends and family as Santa at their door with a gift from his magic bag.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Rogers of Winterset; son, Jeremy Rogers of Clive; daughters, Melissa Rogers of Adel and Christina (Eric) Woodward of Winterset; sisters, Kathy (Dennis) Allsup of Winterset, Alicia (Ron) McDonald of Winterset, Patty Slagter of St. Charles, and Julie (Scott) Davis of Creston; and grandchildren, Stella and Hendrix.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Marshall “Sam” Rogers.
