Mrs. George Grout received a telegram last Sunday announcing the death of her only sister, Mrs. Josephine McDole, of Wichita, Kansas. Mrs. McDole was the daughter of Joseph Compton, one of Madison county’s early pioneers.
She married Jacob McDole about forty-five years ago and they with their family of six children resided on a farm southeast of Winterset until about eighteen years ago when they moved to Oklahoma and later to Witchia. Mr. McDole died last spring.
