The death of Mrs. John Clearwater, former resident of Winterset, occurred at her home in Salem, Oregon, last Saturday. Mrs. Clearwater whose maiden name was Ida Klingaman, the daughter of John Klingaman, with sixty-eight years old.
She had been a sufferer for several years with heart trouble. Mr. and Mrs. Clearwater moved to Oregon hoping to benefit her health. They returned to Winterset but finding that the climate here did not agree with her, after a year’s residence and about a year ago, returned to Salem.
The funeral was held at Salem Tuesday morning and burial was there.
Three sisters and a brother live here, Mrs. Wallace King, Mrs. B. V. Oldham, Mrs. Will McDonald and Frank Klingaman.
