Mrs. F. O. Richards went to St. Joe, Missouri, Monday night, call there by the serious illness of her brother, George English. Mr. English whose home is in Wathena, Kansas, spent several weeks in Winterset late last winter with Dr. and Mrs. Richards, stopping here on his way home from Rochester. Thursday morning Dr. Richard received word that Mr. English had died Wednesday afternoon.
Mr. English was the son of a former Methodist minister here, Dr. English, and was a graduate of the Winterset high school with the class of 1901. He was about forty years old and had lived for a number of years in Wathena. Mrs. English, a son and a daughter survive.
