Mary Thelma, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Harris, was born at Scranton, Kansas, Sept. 21, 1907, and passed to her reward Sept. 24, 1922, at her home near Van Meter, Iowa.

Thelma had been in poor health for several years but during the last year has been practically an invalid. She was in the hospital at Iowa City for three months but was brought home several weeks ago. During the last week she became much worse and told her parents that she was ready to go and that they should not grieve for her for she would be out of her suffering.

Thelma leaves to mourn, her parents, two sisters and two brothers, an older sister having preceded her. She was very patient in her suffering and was cheerful at all times.

The funeral services were held at Union Chapel by Rev. and Mrs. Hollingshead and she was laid to rest to await the general resurrection in the Chapel cemetery.
