Mary Emeretta Georgia Brown, daughter of Francis Clayton and Cora Coffey Brown, was born June 2, 1898 at Van Wert, Iowa, and passed away at the Gentry County Memorial Hospital at Albany, Mo. on March 25, 1979 at the age of 80 years, 9 months and 21 days.

She was united in marriage to James E. Hubbard on September 24, 1913 and to this union were born 10 children. Most of her married life was spent in Iowa. Her husband died December 19, 1953. Also preceding her in death were her parents, two sons, Floyd and Raymond, two great-grandsons, one great-granddaughter, and one sister, Leota Ebrhart.

Those surviving her are four daughters: Mrs. Helen Hodson of Worth, Mo., Mrs. Faye Kearney of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Mrs. Gladys Winchester of Piggott, Arkansas and Mrs. Velma Bradford of Paramount, California; four sons: Harold of Adel, Iowa, David of Davenport, Iowa, Melvin of Worth, Mo., and John of New Windsor, Illinois; one brother, Ray Bishop of Kirkland, Washington; one sister, Mrs. Beatrice Ebrhart of Burlington, Iowa; 50 grandchildren, 61 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held from the Prugh-Dunfee Funeral Home at Grant City, Mo. on Monday, March 26 at 2 p.m. conducted by Rev. Roger Wilson and services were held from the Chamberlain-Fisher Funeral Home at Adel, on Tuesday, March 27 at 2:00 p.m. conducted by Rev. Paul Nelson with interment in the North McDonald Cemetery at Madison County, Iowa.
