Page 3, Columns 5 & 6A funeral was held for Nora Gertrude Koch at Trinity Lutheran Church in Van Meter Jan. 2.
Koch, 82, died at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset Dec. 30, 1981.
She was born May 24, 1899 to Brachter B. and Emma Augusta Lienemann, on a farm south of DeSoto. She was baptized and confirmed in Trinity Lutheran Church in Van Meter and was a member of the congregation until her death. She was a charter member of Trinity Lutheran Ladies Aid.
She was married to Alfred H. Koch in Trinity Lutheran Church Sept. 18, 1919. She lived her entire life in Jefferson Township of Madison County, within one-quarter mile of her birthplace.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Clarence; and one grandson.
She is survived by her husband; all three of their children, Frances Roberg of Boone, Dwaine and James of Van Meter; one sister, Fernanda Martens of DeSoto; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
