Dawsonville, GA—Funeral services for Melvyn L. Hartz, 53, of Dawsonville, Ga. were held Dec. 9, 1994 at Fisher Funeral Home in Van Meter, with burial at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery near Van Meter. Mr. Hartz died Dec. 3 at Northside Hospital in Atlanta, Ga. of injuries sustained in a Nov. 12 auto accident.

Mr. Hartz was born in Des Moines and had lived in Van Meter. For the past eight years he had lived in Dawsonville, Ga. where he was an actuary for Towers-Perrin Inc. of Atlanta.

Survivors include his wife, Susan, of Dawsonville, Ga.; two sons, John and Gordon, both at home; his father, Emmett, of Van Meter; a brother, Merlyn of Van Meter; and two sisters, Twila Hartz of Van Meter and Sandra Marshall of Connecticut.
