Page 9, Column 3Carol Jean (Dee Dee) Palmer, 69, of Waukee, died Thursday, Oct. 20, 2005, after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.
Services were held Monday, Oct. 24, at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery near DeSoto.
She was born May 30, 1936, the daughter of Rolan and Lois Harvey. She lived much of her youth and married life in DeSoto. Throughout her adult life she worked at Bell Telephone, Dallas County News, Amaco, and Associates. After retiring, she enjoyed working at Walmart, family card day and lunching with friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Von; an infant son, Roger; her parents; brother, Jack Harvey, and sister, Sally Rudkin.
She is survived by brothers Jerry and Kenny Harvey; and sisters Joyce Dunbar, Bonnie Woolery and Gina McNair.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Mercy Hospice in Johnston.
