Otto V. White, son of Michael and Mary White was born Sept. 21, 1868 on a farm in the Fairview community and passed away on Friday, Jan. 11, 1952 after a short illness at the age of 83 years, 3 months and 21 days. Preceding him in death were his parents, a brother Emerson, a sister Kate, and a half brother, L. W. Fisher.
He grew to young manhood on the farm, entered business in the 1890’s at Van Meter, continuing in business until 1946 when he sold his business and retired to live in his home until his passing.
He leaves many relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Fisher Funeral Home with Rev. Floyd Newbrough in charge of the services. Burial was made at the Fairview cemetery. Pallbearers were Harry Stonehocker, Henning Holland, Floyd Switzer, Roy Thomas, Ralph Jennings and Dillon Merical.
