Earl Hummel, of Mulberry, Arkansas, a former Adel resident, was killed Saturday in an auto mishap in Tallulah, Louisiana.
Mrs. Hummel is listed in fair condition as of Tuesday a.m. She is hospitalized in Vicksburg, Miss.
Funeral services for Mr. Hummel will be held at the Earlham Funeral Home in Earlham, Thursday at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Earlham.
Surviving Mr. Hummel are two daughters, Mrs. Pauline Brower of Adel and Mrs. Maxine Isenhart of Panora.

Page 10, Column 1 & 2Gerald Earl Hummel, son of Charles and Minnie Hummel, was born Feb. 8, 1893 in Jasper County, Iowa and departed this life on March 30, 1968 at Tallulah, Louisiana at the age of 75 years, 1 month and 22 days.
He was united in marriage to Hazel Dunbar of DeSoto, Iowa. They lived around Adel vicinity until they moved to Arkansas in 1950.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel and two daughters, Mrs. Lloyd (Maxine) Isenhart of Panora and Mrs. Zon (Pauline) Brower of Adel. Also one sister, Mrs. Marvin (Hilda Fern) Dallen of Omaha, Nebr., and six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother and one brother.
Active pallbearers were Ronald Glenn, Larry Isenhart, Dennis Isenhart, Norman Gibbons, David Fitzgerald, and Orville Bender.
Honorary pallbearers were Wm. Polke, Karl Martin, Floyd Stump, Roy Woolery, Clifford Lienemann and Clifford Dawes.
