Funeral services were held at the DeSoto Methodist church on Tuesday, July 24th at 2:30 p.m. for Henry Loren Dunbar who passed away July 22nd at the Dallas county hospital. Rev. Floyd Newbrough was the minister in charge. Mrs. J. L. Riley sang “In the Garden” and “Beautiful Isle” with Mrs. Max Riley piano accompanist. Casket bearers were John McKray, Floyd Riegle, Fred Prohaska, Herman Jensen, Roy Woolery and Bruce Garrett. Interment was in the Earlham cemetery.
Born Sept. 1, 1864 he was nearly 87 years of age. For many years he had lived near and in DeSoto. His wife preceded him in death several years ago. All of his children were among those attending the rites. Hazel Hummel, Mulberry, Arkansas; Elsie Sly, Henderson, Ill.; Della Gilbert, Earlham; Harry, Cameron, Ill; Percy, Stuart; Tony, Greenfield; Bert, DeSoto. The Fisher Funeral service officiated at the rites.
