Page 3, Column 2Alpha Grace Fry, daughter of Sarah and Ben Gannon was born December 26, 1898 at Kansas City, Mo. and departed this life on March 22, 1957 at her home in Adel, Iowa after a long illness.
She moved with her parents to Earlham, Iowa at the age of 3 years. She attended grade school and graduated from high school there.
On March 2, 1921 she was united in marriage to Bert Fry at Earlham, Iowa. They made their home in that vicinity where they farmed until 1929 when they moved to a farm 6 miles northwest of Adel. They made their home on that farm until 1946, when they moved to Adel.
She is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Broyles of Adel, Goldene Bowling of Adel; 4 grandchildren, Pamela, Cristol, Denise and Shelley Broyles of Adel; her mother, Mrs. Sarah Kirkpatrick of Mason City, Iowa; 4 sisters, Clarice Williamson, Ruby Borton, Ruth Engebratson, all of Mason City and Naomi Stubbs of Mayland, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her father, and her husband Bert Fry, on March 5, 1957.
She was a member of the Christian church, Legion Auxiliary, Rebekah Lodge of Adel and various other clubs in this locality.
