THEODORE S. DAGGETT

Theodore S. Daggett was born on January 9, 1919 to William and Jenny Winn Daggett at Winterset, lowa. He grew to manhood in the family home while attending school.

On February 4, 1946 he married Mildred Elston at Jefferson, lowa and to this union six children were born. In 1972 the family moved to Guthrie Center after farming southwest of town for a number of years. His greatest enjoyment was talking on the CB radio where many people knew him as “Lucky Fox"

On December 7, 1989 at the age of 70, Ted died at his home in Guthrie Center. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred of Guthrie Center; one son, Daniel Sr. of Guthrie Center; five daughters, Claudia Wolfe and Anna Reich of Guthrie Center, Grace Carmichael of Perry, Marilyn Schrader of Round Rock, TX., and Sandra George of Des Moines, 26 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Albert and Thomas of Des Moines and Joseph of Branson, MO; and four sisters, Francis Fox and Louise King of Des Moines, Pat McCain of Oskaloosa and Phoebe Hadlock of Milo.

Services were Monday, December 11, 1989 at 2 p.m. at Biedelman Funeral Home in Guthrie Center, with Rev. Dr. Josephine Barnes officiating. Interment was in Moffitt Grove Cemetery.
